The skull makes me think of dia de muertos
Thank you, Bjorn. Morana is the Slavic goddess of winter, and has many interpretations; I felt like painting in a way which is still in wintery colours and dark, but also in a way comforting, cold and unafraid.
I don’t mind the sun sometimes,
the images it shows,
I can taste you on my lips
and feel you in my clothes.
Cinnamon and sugary
and softly spoken lies,
you never know just how you look
through other people’s eyes
