Midnight in Dublin – A Review
Midnight in Dublin is an emotional, fantastical, psychological tale, from the pen of M. C. Dulac. What I liked most about this book is the vivid and captivating descriptions of the location; they were filled with enticing imagery, but not too burdening and boring, they are the kind of descriptions that make you want to open Google maps and follow the protagonist up and down on the streets of Dublin. The characters in the book are shown in a way which makes them feel very real, I really like that the writer included a lot of the protagonists thoughts and doubts and was not afraid to repeat them, for me this made the plot and characters more believable, human and relatable. Another strong point of this book is definitely the fantastical elements. They retain enough mystery to keep you worried, curious and unsure of the outcomes until the last page and even at the very end of the story. I like the balance which was put between the fantastical and real elements in the story and the way they both played out their roles to bring the story to the end. This was a very exciting read, fast paced and very easy to read. The only remark that I have to the book is that I wish it was longer, because I craved more of the story! Without wanting to spoil the story for you, this is all you will hear from me, but I heartly recommend getting a copy and reading it yourself. |
Veoma lep prikaz. Mislim da i oni koji nisu čitali, ovim jesu poprilično zainteresovani.
Hvala! Nisam zelela da bude dugacko, jer nema potrebe za tim, bolje da knjiga kaze sama od sebe 😀
