It feels like only mere three-four teas ago, September was merely an announcement and now? Well, now it is already packing to go and September, dear friend, you know I love you, but can’t you stay a while longer? I am not ready for October.
While we are sitting here and hopefully drinking our warm beverages, I would like to proclaim that I am a lot more crazier then you all might think. Here I am, sitting and contemplating, dreaming and getting jazzy about new ideas, projects and plans that I am going to fit into my already progressing plans and projects. So I have a few questions for you dear readers, and your feedback would mean a lot to me:
What do you look for in a magazine? What is it that makes you consider submitting? What is it that makes you read it and what is it that makes you keep it and read it again later? What about poetry contests? Do you feel like all the outlets for our Art are letting us be free? Are they helping us improve, while maintaining the skeleton confine of our soul intact and just in the color we wanted?
Aside from being crazy, I am “working”. “” because as you all know, I am unemployed with a very slim chance that is going to change anytime soon. But yes, I am working! I am working at the most awesome, spiritualy rewarding job ever. This, is my boss:
He reads all of your blogs with me, but I simply must give praise here to his favourite WordPress poet. Yes, it is Cubby! She is wonderfull and makes my heart warm, especially because she gives me poetic moments that I can also enjoy with my family. The soul and deep honesty she puts in each post she makes is something that has became like a sunshine to my mornings. She recently started hosting poetry form challenges also, which I am sure you would enjoy.
Here is Sir Seth’s favourite poem from her: Swirling Mad
Another poet and an outstanding, heartwarming lady, one of the first I followed here, is B. G. Bowers. I just noticed her tagline says “Writer In Progress”, but people, she is already beyond a fabulous writer! Her fearless mastery of adventureous forms will easily leave you envious. Just look at this Sestina!
I have recently embarked upon a poet whose words quickly got me hooked to reading everything he writes. If you are wanting to feel the same, check Esoteric Poet. I guarantee you will not regret it!
Other things I am working on are artworks for “Cyanide & Cherries” project. Working like that really pulls me in and hours can pass before I regain my sanity. Here is an example:
My husband has been nagging me for a long time I should connect my blog with my DeviantArt profile, so you will in future be able to find a link to it on the right side. I share mostly photography there as well as textures that I make for people to use free.
Hope you enjoyed this little tour of my cup! Tell me, what are you doing, what are you reading? There is plenty of tea to go around (AND coffee, don’t worry coffee lovers, I did not forget you!)
